Jaakko Laitinen, known from the band Väärä Raha, combined forces with virtuoso accordionist and multi-genre talent Harri Kuusijärvi to create Lehtojärven Hirvenpää, a new tango orchestra that skilfully mixes Kuusijärvi’s progressive pop compositions with Laitinen’s lyrics that explore the structures of existence and reality.

Their debut album, nominated for a Teosto award in 2020, tells stories of gnarled pines, ordinary life and work, delving into ecological, metaphysical and cosmological ponderings and the mysteries of the human mind.
